On dit que \(\lim_{r\to0} f(r\cos\theta,r\sin\theta)=\ell\in{\Bbb R}\) existe indépendamment de \(\theta\) si et seulement s'il existe une fonction \(\varepsilon(r)\underset{r\to0}\longrightarrow0\) telle que, pour tout \(r\gt 0\), alors $$\lvert f(r\cos\theta,r\sin\theta)-\ell\rvert\leqslant\varepsilon(r)$$
